The ski infrastructure must be very old and basic

Since 2003 the skiing at Bansko has benefitted from hundreds of millions of pounds of investment including express 4 person chairs that slow down at the bottom and top to air loading/unloading by skiers, fast gondola access to the mountain an extensive snowmaking system and a fleet of kassbohrer snow grooming machines. The facilities now rival those of the well known resorts of the Alps and North America

It must be cheaper and easier to book a package holiday

We believe that our prices are significantly cheaper than the brochure prices of the main tour operators as well as offering greater flexibility. We do not restrict you to a 6 day holiday beginning on a Saturday. Instead our changeover days are flexible to suit your requirements and you can chose the length of your stay. If you want to stay with us at the Knights Lodge apartment house we can help you to find convenient flights and can even arrange for a driver to pick you up at the airport. Simple!

What other services can you provide?

In addition to assisting with your travel arrangements we can offer the following: welcome packs so there is food and drink in your apartment on arrival, two radio hire so you can make contact with your friends whilst skiing and save your mobile phone bill, laundry and/or maid service during your stay as well as advice about ski/snowboard rental in Bansko and great places to eat. More information and costs of these services is available on request (except the advice - that is free of charge!)

Do I need travel insurance?

Easy answer - YES. Although Bulgaria is part of the EU you will still require insurance in case the worst happens and you require medical treatment in the mountains. Skiing and snowboarding are generally safe sports (with an injury rate lower than football) however the costs of transporting you home after any accident can be significant. For your peace of mind please ensure you are covered for winter sports (if you intend to participate in them).
